Acne

Acne isn’t just those pesky pimples that pop up uninvited. Think of it as the unexpected guest at our melanin-rich skin party. For Black women, it can appear as tender bumps, dark marks, or even tiny whiteheads. These little intruders are often the result of hair follicles being clogged by oil and dead skin cells. Now, before you get too worried, remember this: acne is a common companion for many of us. It’s more about understanding it and learning its ways than fearing it. Whether you’ve met acne in your teenage years or it knocked on your door in adulthood, knowing its different faces helps us embrace and care for our skin better. Because, in our vibrant community, sharing is caring! Let’s explore, understand, and address acne in Black skin together.
