Every movement begins with a moment of clarity. For us, that moment came when two people—like so many in our community—looked around and saw how often Black people are left out of care that claims to be for everyone. Skin care, hair care, whole-body care. The kind that sees us, understands us, and actually works for us. So they began to build.
Not just a brand. Not just a platform. But a space rooted in truth and shaped by the needs of Black people—especially Black women—who have always deserved more.
Our work is grounded in science, but it starts with listening. At WeSeeColor, our medical team is made up of professionals who understand that health and wellness don’t look the same for everyone—especially not for Black women. We bring clinical expertise, cultural competence, and a commitment to care that’s been missing for far too long. We study our skin. We study our hair. We ask better questions. And we build solutions that center us—because that’s what real expertise looks like.

We advocate for better dermatology—for Black people, and especially for Black women, who’ve been ignored, misdiagnosed, or simply left out of the conversation for too long. At WeSeeColor, we push for products that are tested on our skin, backed by research that includes us, and made with our health in mind. We challenge the industry to do better, because it must. And we won’t stop until dermatology works for all of us—not just some of us.
